About First Presbyterian Church of Rolla
Welcome to our church! The First Presbyterian Church of Rolla is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) in the John Calvin Presbytery. We were established in 1864 and built our first house of worship in 1869 at Sixth and Olive Streets near what is now Benton Square. In 1962, we moved to our current location east of the corner of 10th and Holloway, adjacent to Ber Juan Park and The Centre. In 1993, we recognized that there is a significant need for early childhood education in our neighborhood and started the Presbyterian Preschool. More recently, the preschool has expanded to include infant care as well. Our church building also hosts many activities of the Rolla Choral Arts Society.
We are a Christian community who believe in growing relationships with God, with each other and with our neighbors. We hope that after you visit our website and have the opportunity to attend our Worship Service, you will be encouraged to become a more active participant of our growing community of faith.
First Presbyterian Church of Rolla offers many ministries for people of all ages and interests. It is our hope that you will discover a ministry that requires the use of your talents/gifts and provides the satisfaction gained by working with others who share a common objective.
Mission Statement
We of the Presbyterian Church of Rolla, MO, are working to build a strong, nurturing congregation that fosters growth for all ages, that provides a focus for Christian Fellowship, and that seeks justice and peace through community service.
We do this because we are freed and forgiven by God our Father through Jesus Christ, and energized continually by the presence of the Holy Spirit. Our Church is a witness to openness. We join together to learn God’s will in our lives, in the life of the church, and in the community at large.
