Fired Up! We are starting a new worship experience on Thursdays 6:30 – 7:00 pm starting on April 24. We will normally meet in the fellowship hall for an informal time of music, prayer, and reflection on Scripture. (We will sometimes meet in the chapel to avoid conflict with other activities.) This is a great opportunity to invite the Holy Spirit into your life, and a less intimidating experience for people who are beginning their faith journey. We are targeting a thirty minute service, hoping that it will fit into people’s busy schedules. So come as your are, bring a friend, and bring a heart open to the Spirit! If you have any questions, please ask Jonathan Kimball or other members of the worship & music committee.
Do not forget the Progressive Dinner on Friday, April 25, 2014. We start at Kensington at 5:30 p.m. You bring a dinner plate, matched set if you come as a pair. Dinner at Wellington probably by 7 or earlier. Sign up by Wednesday.
Sunday, April 27 is dress as a memorable decade … or just wear a hat, not cap.
May 4 will be our historical communion. In a reference to an earlier time where the country was in the civil war, please try to wear dark suits (men) and dark dresses or skirts (women). We will remember our first members so long ago who made the decision to organize surrounded by sorrow and strife.
FCAS performance of Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana is Saturday at 7:30 and Sunday at 2:00 pm. Plan to get your free ticket soon.
