Our Lenten Bible study, Seven Days to Glory: Holy Week, continues Wednesdays at 6 pm at the back of the sanctuary. This week we will discuss Thursday of Holy Week.

We are collecting items for the “Basket of Hope” to benefit Russell House, GRACE, and The Rolla Mission throughout Lent. Please bring toilet paper and paper towels to benefit these important organizations.

Announcements:

  • This Sunday, we will be taking up the annual SOUPER Bowl offering. Please place your donations in the Soup Pots in the back of the sanctuary either for the Chiefs, or for that other team from the west coast. Proceeds from the offering will go to the Friday Backpack program.
  • Please join us for Ash Wednesday on February 14 at 5:45 pm at the fellowship area in back of sanctuary. We will have a short service to impose ashes in our desire to confess sins and begin the Lenten Season.  After the service we will start our Lenten Bible Study on Seven Days to Glory. Discussion will end shortly before 7 pm.

Meet Them Where They Are – Bulletin, Live Stream, Announcements for February 4, 2024

A few announcements:

  • Game night is TONIGHT, February 2, in the fellowship hall. We will take a head count at 6 pm for pizza. Bring a game to share. Water will be provided, so bring other drinks if you like.
  • The Session is offering blue hymnals (that is, The Presbyterian Hymnal (1990)) to the congregation.
  • We will be collecting a special offering on Souper Bowl Sunday, February 11. Proceeds will support the Friday Backpack program.

Christmas Eve Bulletin, Live Stream, and Announcements – December 24, 2023

We will be gathering for worship twice on December 24, 2023. First, we will have our normal morning worship at 9:45 am for the Fourth Sunday of Advent. We continue to collect the Christmas Joy offering. It is one of the Presbyterian Special Offerings. This offering provides critical financial assistance to church workers and their families in their time of need. The offering also provides educational opportunities and leadership development at Presbyterian-related schools and colleges equipping communities of color. There are envelopes on the table at the entrance of the sanctuary.

With the passing of the Longest Night, each day gets a little longer, reminding us that Jesus’s birth brought light to the world. “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overtake it.” And will not. Join us this Sunday to celebrate this coming of the Light into the world.
