Lent is approaching! We will start with a special Ash Wednesday event on February 22. We will gather in the sanctuary for a meal at 6:00 (that is, bring your own dinner and be ready to eat at 6:00). Then we will begin our Lenten book study, Meeting Jesus at the Table. Finally, we will have a short service culminating in imposition of ashes. We intend to finish the service in time for choir practice at 7:00.

Then throughout Lent, we will meet each Wednesday at 6:00 in the sanctuary. Again bring your own dinner. We will go through the book at a pace of one chapter per week.

At this time, the paperback of our study is on backorder from the PC(USA) store but is available from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Cokesbury. It is NOT available on Kindle yet (embargoed until March 1) but IS available on Nook.

• We invite you to join us for a Pizza and Game Night TONIGHT, Friday, February 3rd in the Fellowship Hall from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM. You are invited to bring your favorite tabletop game. We will love to see you all and enjoy this time together!
• The Outreach Committee will have the soup pots ready on Souper Bowl Sunday February 12. You can show your support of your favorite team by donating. The monies collected will be given to a local charity. This year the Kansas City CHIEFS will be playing against some other team (eagles). Thank you in advance.
• The Outreach Committee is providing a meal for Common Call on the MS&T campus. They meet on Thursday evenings. There are usually around six attending. We trade monthly with Christ Episcopal Church. Our months are February and Aprill. If you could help by providing a meal or part of a meal, please call Maudanne Pursley, 573-201-9292.
