SHOE COLLECTION…If you have shoes you’re not wearing anymore or just don’t want, please bring them by the church office.  We are starting a collection of shoes to give to Salem Avenue Baptist Church for their annual shoe give away on August 2^nd.  We participated in this last year and Salem Ave said we were a great success and all donations were greatly appreciated.  Please have any donations turned in by July 28^th so we can get them to the church in time for the event.  Thanks!

If you missed the Block Party you missed a great event. John Francis’s group Dixie Union was well received.  We canvassed 120 homes and had about 20 visitors. Thanks to those who came and interacted with those visitors. One family returned for youth fishing. Three visitors retuned for Fired Up! Thursday the 19^th. It is happening.  Evangelism works.  As we become better at publicity and planning, FPRC will have more chances to reach out and share our faith and the blessings of our church.

Tickets for the Adult theater event are $16 for Aug. 9th performance of the Drowsy Chaperon. Dinner will be at the Whitakers. Gather at 4:30 (or before if you wish to swim). Bring a side dish to share and your preferred beverage. Pay Britt or Nanette ASAP.

Anyone interested in ordering a collared 150th shirt email Mary ASAP about it. She will need more than one or two orders. For those of you who have ordered, Thank You!  There are still sets of note cards with the Banner picture for sale for $5 or reasonable donation.

Youth Fishing Outreach TODAY. With absence of John we will need several adults to help with this project, especially since we connected with 5 youth at the Block Party, all of whom were interested in attending. Please join the group at 1:00 pm on the dam area of Ber Juan Lake for two hours of fishing and outreach.  Let Mary Kwantes or membership know if you can help.

GOOD NEWS!Your Session acted this past Monday evening to call a Congregational Meeting for Sunday, July 6, immediately following worship. The purpose of this meeting will be to elect our Pastor Nominating Committee! Your Session is ready to present our congregation with a slate of candidates for possible election.

Note:  If you wish to nominate someone from the floor of the meeting, please get informed consent before such a nomination.
