The live stream should be up this Sunday, although the sound on the live stream will probably not reflect the majesty of the organ. Link: https://youtube.com/live/WhWXXy4Lo-8?feature=share

Sermon Podcast – March 24, 2024 – Applause or Decision

Preached by Rev. Bob Morrison. Based on Mark 11:1-11.

There were some issues in the recorded sound. A variety of filters have been used to make it understandable, though perhaps at the expense of the tonal quality.

There is about an 80% chance that we will have a live stream available: https://youtube.com/live/B19CRge8R8c?feature=share

Palm Sunday marks the start of Holy Week. We will gather in the chapel on Maundy Thursday, March 28, at 6:30 pm for a service that will include communion. Then on Easter Sunday, March 31, after worship, we will have a carry-in brunch in the fellowship hall.

Our Lenten Bible study has drawn to a close. We had studied the story of Holy Week as reported in the Gospel According to Mark. If you would like to add this to your spiritual practices during Holy Week, here are suggested passages:

  • Sunday: Mark 11:1-11
  • Monday: Mark 11:12-19
  • Tuesday: Mark 11:20-12:27
  • Wednesday: Mark 13
  • Thursday: Mark 14:3-25, 32-50
  • Friday: Mark 14:53-65, 15:1-41
  • Saturday: Mark 15:42-47

Then on Sunday, join us for worship where we will celebrate our risen Lord!

We are continuing to collect items for the Easter Basket of Hope. This week, we are collecting personal care items (deodorant, razors, toothbrushes, feminine hygiene products).

Finally, the One Great Hour of Sharing special offering will be collected through Easter.  This offering is divided between the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, Presbyterian Hunger Program and Self-Development of People.
