We are celebrating both Epiphany and Baptism of the Lord on this Sunday, January 7, 2024, as we worship together. Jonathan Kimball will be preaching, “The Second-Best Time,” using Matthew 2:1-12 and Mark 1:4-11. We are also celebrating the Lord’s Supper.

We continue to collect the Christmas Joy offering. It is one of the Presbyterian Special Offerings. This offering provides critical financial assistance to church workers and their families in their time of need. The offering also provides educational opportunities and leadership development at Presbyterian-related schools and colleges equipping communities of color. There are envelopes on the table at the entrance of the sanctuary.

With the passing of the Longest Night, each day gets a little longer, reminding us that Jesus’s birth brought light to the world. “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overtake it.” And will not. Join us this Sunday to celebrate this coming of the Light into the world.
