In last month’s newsletter, there was a discussion about the Commissioned Ruling Elder position within our denomination and the potential for Jonathan to serve our church part-time as a CRE. There will be a discussion today after worship to explain where we are in the process, describe the arrangements, and answer any questions you might have.

    • Picnic THIS SUNDAY, June 2, at 11:30 at Veterans Memorial Park. Bring your own lunch.
    • First Friday Out on June 7 at 5:30 pm at Koi. Reservations due on June 2 to Javier.
    • Springfield Cardinals game on June 29. Reservations due on June 2 to Javier.
    • Planning a carry-in dinner at 6 pm on July 19, followed by attending Clue at Ozark Actors Theatre.
  • Mission & Outreach – summer collections
    • June: Crayola 24-count boxes for the August Back to School Fair.
    • July: Toys for GRACE Children’s Christmas in July.
  • There will be a congregational information session on June 9 after worship to discuss commissioned ruling elder topics.

Blessed Trinity – Bulletin, Live Stream, and Announcements for May 26, 2024

This Trinity Sunday, Susan Murray will be preaching on John 3: 1-17 as we worship in the sanctuary at 9:45 am. Also, this will be the last Sunday for the Chancel Choir to participate in leading worship through song.

This Sunday will wrap up our Pentecost Special Offering that benefits young people and the needs of at-risk children.

Congregational Life has several upcoming events:

  • June 2, 11:30 am: bring-your-own picnic lunch at Veterans Memorial Park.
  • June 7, 5:30 pm: First Friday Out at Koi (make reservations with Javier by June 2).
  • June 29: Springfield Cardinals game (make reservations with Javier by June 2).
  • July 19, 6 pm: carry-in dinner in advance of the Ozark Actors Theatre production of Clue at 7:30 pm.

We are collecting the Pentecost special offering, which helps support ministries to young people and the needs of at-risk children. The collection is split 60% to the Presbyterian Mission Agency and 40% to services in Rolla.
